What Should You Expect During an USG Upper Abdomen Scan in Gurgaon?
In Our Centre, an abdominal scanning test is usually done as an outpatient procedure. Before taking the scan, you may be asked to drink plenty of fluids and avoid eating for 4-6 hours before the scan.
During the procedure, you will be asked to lie down on your back and remain still while images of your upper abdomen are taken with an ultrasound machine.
The scan usually takes about 10-15 minutes and involves passing a device over your abdomen to capture images of the area. We may also ask you to move or hold your breath while they capture images. After the images are acquired, you can expect to receive results from your doctor within half an hour.
